Week 4

Highlights of the week: Obama finally got inaugurated, YAY!!! =D

So it's finally week 4, it's crunchin time. I thankfully don't have midterms yet, but have a lot of papers due. This weekend had been very dreadful because I suffered a long weekend class for 9 hours straight. Sadly to say, it's a class I need to take in order to graduate. I actually found the class to be interesting considered that it's about violence in our society. We had guest speakers and videos, which made the class very interactive. I have been lacking sleep lately, hopefully I can catch up on it soon.

In the meantime, I am in the process of filling out applications to nursing schools in addition to filling out my FAFSA. Right now, I'm still brainstorming ideas to answer essay questions and develop what my interests are. I like how we talked about our passions in class this week, it actually helped me a lot in the thinking process for this essay. Something that strike me in class this week was that unemployment rates in Oregon is about 9%. In the future, it'll be doubled. That means California isn't doing any better =( I'm a little worried now because of our economy. Hopefully, changes is under way for the better. That's it for my week, til next time.

Sunday morning

I slept in pretty late today, almost forgot that our journals are due today. I'm pretty excited for MLK weekend because it's the only weekend where I can go home and relax. Today, I did nothing but homework and cleaned around the house. I tend to be the neat freak around the house, which is why I love cleaning. Sadly to say, it is the third week of school already and midterms are just right around the corner. I am not looking forward to writing my papers and taking quizzes this week. I am pretty much behind on researching articles for my paper. If only I know how to manage my time wisely. Hopefully, I won't end up procrastinating on these papers.
I'm actually looking forward to Tuesday's Inauguration. Can't wait for the major changes in the future. This week went by really fast for some reason. I didn't even have time to meet up with my advisor to talk about my audits. Hopefully, I can get a hold of her next week and discuss with her my plans for the future. That's it for now, til next time.

NoobiE

So I just started this new blogging thing for my Last Year Experience class and suppose to blog every Sunday to reflect my week of this term. I don't really blog as much as I used to, so here goes my first post.

I woke up early this morning, ready to reflect my week. It's the first week of school, I was kind of excited since it's a fresh term, not to mentioned that I was snowed in most of winter break and had nothing better to do than stayed home the whole time. I, however, did not like most of my classes this term. I had to decide what classes I need to get rid of because most of them were very hard. I was freaking out everyday, wondering what I should take that will benefit me in the long run. I was constantly adding and dropping classes like no other. So far, I've made a great decision in taking this class because I have a lot of questions about where my life should go after I graduate. There are a lot of uncertainty right now like every worry seniors. With the economy we're in now, it seems that finding a decent job will be hard. I hope this class will guide me to a better sense of the future after I graduate. I also have to complain about my work schedule this term. I don't like how I'm being cut short on hours because of too many employees. Though, I like the fact that minimum wage is going up, YAY!!!

On Thursday, my friends and I went to McMenimin's downtown to celebrate a belated birthday. Our waiter was very nice. He paid for our drinks (non-alcoholic) =) If all waiters were that generous, I would tip them well. But then again, it's always a good idea to just pay for it rather than get caught. Anyways, that's my highlight of the week. Good thing I don't have anything to study for. That's all for now, til next time.
